The Armin Meiwes T-Shirt is inspired by theĀ infamous 'Rotenburg Cannibal' Armin Meiwes.
Meiwes achieved notoriety when in 2001 he advertised in an online forum called 'The Cannibal Cafe' for a willing victim to be killed and eaten. Surprisingly, he received numerous responses, but most of his potential victims backed out. The exception was oneĀ Bernd JĆ¼rgen Armando Brandes.
The horrific 'odd couple' metĀ in the small town of WĆ¼stefeld and proceeded to make a video tape of the slow process of dismembering Brandes, who survived for some time after theĀ process had begun, and participated in the devouring of his own body parts.Ā
